Worship and connect in a safe environment.

It has been far too long since we have been able to gather together as a Church body in unified worship of our God, and we are looking forward to this sweet reunion, to be with you all once again. Just as Acts 2 states, our hope and prayer is for everyone at Westtown to approach this “return to normal” with glad and generous hearts.

“ 46 And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day, those who were being saved.”

Regardless of your decision, to join in-person or continue connecting with us online, please exercise charity and grace toward others whose decisions and personal choices differ from your own. There is no “one size fits all” solution to the COVID-19 situation. Therefore, we have chosen the path of providing options for people and letting you make the decision that best fits your own personal comfort level.

We encourage you to make the decision that is best for you and your family.

We ask everyone to review this communication before deciding about attending worship in person. If you do attend in person, please help us maintain an orderly, safe, and worshipful environment by considering the following:

  • While we are permitted to gather for worship now, we are not encouraging nor suggesting everyone needs to do so. We sincerely urge each person to take the best precautions you can for your own health and safety.

  • As a reminder, our livestream broadcast, of our 9:30am & 11am service, will still be provided for those remaining at home.

  • Wash your hands often.

  • Please practice social distancing between you and others.

  • We are strongly encouraging everyone to wear masks when attending worship at Westtown Church.

As you consider your plans for returning to in-person church services, please consider the following guidelines and modifications at Westtown Church.

  • Service times have been adjusted to 9:30am and 11:00am.

  • Kids’ Town will be available for both services.

    • After checking in your infants and toddlers, take them to their classroom prior to entering the sanctuary for worship.
    • Children, PreK – 5th grade, who are attending Kids’ Town, will be dismissed from the service.
    • For younger children, who need a parent to walk them to their class, we ask only one parent accompany the child.
    • We are asking that only one parent pick up children from the Kids’ Town building.
    • Please help us limit the number of individuals inside the Kids’ Building at one time.
  • If you are not yet comfortable sending your children to Kids’ Town, then you are more than welcome to have them stay in the service with you.

  • No coffee or food will be served before or after services.

  • No printed church bulletins will be provided.

  • We are strongly encouraging everyone to wear masks when attending worship at Westtown Church. We will have masks available for those who do not have one. We understand some folks may choose not to wear a mask, and we want to emphasize that this choice is still up to each individual.

  • Seating in the Sanctuary has been adjusted to allow for social distancing.

  • Offering plates will not be passed. A tithe and offering drop-box will be available at the Connection Center in the foyer. You can also give online at westtownchurch.org/give

Thank you for your cooperative and unified attitude you have shown during this unusual season. Returning to “normal” church life will be more of a process than an event. We are hopeful that as the weeks progress we will be able to return gradually to a more normalized life in every way, including as a church family.

We will continue to monitor the conditions and standards and adjust as necessary.
